Members of the Old Caterhamians Ladies XV visited the Twickenham Stoop stadium tonight, 13th of November, to witness England Womens' game against Canada.
Although the game begun with what appeared to be a penalty shoot out, the tries followed suite with their prop Sophie Hemming crossing the line after a penalty line-out was successfully gathered.
Another beautiful try was scored by Lydia Thompson after a kick towards the right wing bounced beautifully back into her arms, much to the delight of the Old Cats ladies!
The women thoroughly enjoyed the evening, with many remarks about the excellent positioning of the teams, the fluidity of play and many chants of 'eeeeeeeaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' which ended up somehow sounding like 'England!'
The evening resulted in a phenomenal 32-3 win for England over Canada, a delighted Old Cats team, a memorable social occasion and hopefully what will prove to be an inspirational game to drive the ladies into their next game against Eastbourne on November 24th.
