A brisk Southerly wind and ever increasing precipitation greeted Old Cats U16 for their first fixture of the season v. Edenbridge.
The Edenbridge squad had suffered a significant overnight depletion in numbers but were bolstered at kick off by several volunteers from Old Cats U17 team, who relished a friendly game rather than a beasting from the task master Corbett during a training session.
The match was always going to be evenly balanced with the presence of the U17 lads who lead the way for some good performances by the Edenbridge stalwarts.
Old Cats U16 played with some cohesion if not yet firing on all cylinders, this being their first real match. There were a few good personal performances but the outstanding player, on both sides, was without a doubt TQ , who must have had his identical twin brother playing as he appeared to be first to every breakdown and was the instigator of many Cats attacking moves. Well done TQ (MoM).
