2. Parent's Code of Conduct


Code of Conduct for Parents

Old Caterhamians Rugby Football Club

Parents or Carers and any spectators are encouraged to:

• Understand and promote the core values of rugby (Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment,
Discipline, Sportsmanship)
• Support positively and applaud good play
• Respect officials and opposition players and not stray from the touchline onto the pitch
• Remember that children are playing to have fun, they should be encouraged, not forced,
to play rugby
• Behave as good role models on the touchline and not verbally abuse match officials,
players or other spectators, threaten, intimidate or use bad language or give offence by
of insult, humiliation or discrimination
• Congratulate the opposition and make their supporters welcome
• Be a good ambassador for Old Caterhamians RFC whether at home, away or on tour
• Talk to a club official or the club safeguarding officer if they’re unhappy about anything at
the club
