Club Official Code of Conduct

1. Recognise that the safety of young players is paramount.

2. Explain decisions made to all young players are still learning.

3. Show empathy for the age and ability of young players.

4. Ensure that verbal abuse from players, coaches or spectators is not tolerated and is dealt with by the club officials immediately.

5. Be a positive role model.

6. Proved verbal feedback in a positive way and an encouraging manner during games and training.

7. Recognise the importance of fun and enjoyment when officiating young players.

8. Emphasise the spirit of the game.

9. Understand the physical, social and psychological development of young players.

10. Be aware of, and abide by, the policies and protocols outlined by the RFU in respect of child protection.
